September 25 – World Psychotherapy Day

September 25 2024

An optimistic development that should be highlighted on the occasion of World Psychotherapy Day is that Poles are increasingly choosing this method of work as one of the solutions and resources to use.
Psychotherapy is a tool – a voluntary attempt to cope with a difficult situation. It should not be treated in terms of “last resort” (“things are already so bad with me that the only thing left to do is to go to a psychologist”), but as our conscious decision and our chosen way to work with our problems, take care of ourselves and take care of ourselves.
Psychotherapy is not a one-sided influence, nor does it provide ready-made solutions. We don’t go into a “magic office” for someone to tell us what to do or to “cure” us. Psychotherapy is based on contact, relationship and requires the patient’s commitment and cooperation with the therapist. Many times it takes time and patience – this is worth mentioning at the outset, as many people become discouraged at the very beginning of the therapeutic process, not seeing immediate results.

Therapeutic support at the Center for Crisis Intervention in Lublin is also based on contact, dialogue and cooperation, with the difference, however, that by design it is a short-term form of support – focused on helping people get out of crisis. This type of support is often the first step on the road to a new and better life, to working on oneself and seeking long-term therapeutic support.
If you or a loved one is in need of help – we encourage you to contact us in person at 6A Probation Street, or by phone at 814665546.
