CIK helps senior citizens

November 23 2022

The Center for Crisis Intervention in Lublin informs that on November 25 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm there will be free legal advice and consultation aimed at the elderly.
Violence against the elderly is still a taboo subject. Seniors become victims of psychological, physical and economic violence. If you are a person who is experiencing this kind of violence from loved ones or suspect that an elderly person is experiencing violence, don’t wait!

– Tell someone you trust about it.
– Ask for help from specialists: the police, a crisis intervention center, or a social welfare center

Violence against the elderly takes place both at home and in care institutions. Violent persons are therefore members of the senior’s immediate family or institutional caregivers. The elderly person usually has strong emotional ties to the violent person and has long-term contact with him or her.
According to the World Health Organization, each year:

– about 4 million elderly people in Europe are victims of physical violence
– nearly 30 million elderly experience psychological violence

– 2,500 elderly lose their lives
The Crisis Intervention Center in Lublin is a place where you can quickly find help.

A team of experienced specialists, including a psychologist, lawyer or social worker, are waiting for you!

You can call us, write or come in person….

You are welcome!
