November 1

November 1 2024
November 1.
This is a special day of the year, when we think of loved ones who are no longer with us. We visit cemeteries, clean tombstones, light candles. We reminisce, sometimes we smile and sometimes we cry.
Loss is something that affects each of us. Every happiness, every love and every relationship is inseparable from loss. We can’t avoid it – so let’s not run away from it. Let’s give ourselves a chance to experience it in a conscious way, which will ultimately strengthen us and allow us to know ourselves better.
We are used to dividing feelings into good and bad, and those feelings we interpret negatively – such as sadness, anger, grief – are not bad in themselves. We need all these feelings, we have the right to feel them, and we should experience them and let them resound – in a form that does not hurt others. It is the form of expression of feelings that we choose that has a direct impact on whether the effects of these feelings will be negative and “bad”.
Let’s grieve if we need to – today in particular.
If you need – cry or laugh. No two people are the same, and there are no identical ways of dealing with the loss of loved ones – there are no worse or better.
All Saints’ Day is at the same time the Day of the Living – those who are left behind, who miss and remember and go through the grieving process. We want to tell all of you, that if you feel you need support – the CIK is there for you, including on this day.
Our Center is closed today, but at any time you can call our 24-hour crisis helpline – 733 588 900, where you will be heard and receive the support you need – without judgment, anonymously.
