Singing carols together 2025

January 21 2025
Thank you for caroling together! We are glad that we could have our share in an important initiative.
There was a lot of joy, warmth, smiles and an amazing intergenerational atmosphere. Together we can do more!
We were honored by the presence of Mrs. Anna Augustyniak Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs of the City of Lublin, who told us about the action and willingly joined in singing carols together.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Director of CIK Mr. Adam Moldoch.
Last Monday, a room at the Hostel for People in Crisis at 3 Bronowicka Street in Lublin became the site of a magical event that brought together young people, children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, as well as neighbors and other representatives of the local community. The Center for Intervention
Crisis Intervention Center in Lublin joined the Charity Action “Hat Scarf…. something warm knitted for the needy” ‘Gift of the Heart’. It was colorful and fun, there was even Santa Claus!
The children received hats, scarves and sweaters handmade by knitters from almost all over Poland, who for 6 years have been sharing their handicrafts with those most in need.
“Knitting something is like giving a part of yourself. By doing so, we make a smile appear on the faces of these children. And yes, as Janusz Korczak said, when a child laughs, the whole world laughs.” – says Barbara Fatyga, one of the knitting Lubliners, who is the organizer of the action “Hat Scarf…. something warm knitted for the needy” ‘Gift of the Heart’.
The nativity performance, prepared by children from the kindergarten under the supervision of teachers, delighted all present. The nativity play is an annual tradition that brings generations together and reminds us of the values of Christmas: love, peace and community. Our stage was also presented by the socio-therapeutic day care center, which presented a very moving performance with lanterns, enriched with beautiful music.
Invited children from the Dabrowica Folk Group sang beautiful traditional carols and pastorals.
Everyone performed with great commitment, which did not escape the attention of the audience. Lublin youth and children presented their acting, vocal and artistic talents. The decorations, prepared with attention to detail, transported everyone to the atmosphere of Bethlehem, and the costumes further emphasized the authenticity of the performance and the performances.
The event was also an opportunity to sing carols together.
We would like to thank everyone who honored us with their presence and created a unique atmosphere. This event will remain in our hearts for a long time. Thank you for the time spent together!
Our sincere thanks also go to those especially involved in organizing the event – the staff:
– Department of Support for People in Crisis and Intervention and Therapeutic Department,
– Early Intervention Center for People with Alcohol Problems and their Families,
– Hostel for people in crisis.
May the magic of Christmas accompany us all throughout the year!
