How to help a person struggling with suicidal thoughts?
According to data published by the National Police Headquarters, in 2021 as many as 5201 people took their lives by suicide, which translates into 15 successful suicide attempts per day. 1,495 children and adolescents under the age of 18 attempted suicide of which 127 ended in death. For every class of 28, there are an average of two students following a suicide attempt. In contrast, among young adults, there are between 100 and 200 attempts for every recorded suicide death.
