What is physical violence?
Physical violence is any intentional, deliberate action that causes injury to the body of the person experiencing violence. One can speak of violence when:
– the action is intentional (it is aimed at subjugating and controlling the other person)
– in this relationship one party has an advantage over the other
– personal rights are violated
– causes suffering and pain
People experiencing violence experience fear, suffering, helplessness, depression and despair….
