Support for those who have suffered a loss

December 2 2022

What is loss?

During life, we experience loss many times.

Such experiences can involve many areas of life:

– termination of relationships – as a result of conflict, separation, divorce, death

– loss of some aspect of the self – health, fitness as a result of an accident or aging, the passing of youth

– loss of goods, possessions as a result of loss, natural disaster, theft or bad investments

– loss of values, such as, for example, a sense of security, love, success, work, freedom….

Each loss begins the process of adaptation to the new situation, but before it happens, certain stages will be observed, such as lack of mobilization, the occurrence of a period of shock and denial, strong reactions – agitation, despair, self-doubt, disclosure of hidden emotions such as anger or rage. They are all perfectly normal under the circumstances. When a person experiencing a loss begins to re-arrange reality, there is a desire to find answers to the question: what can I do in this situation? This involves searching for meaning, making meaning of what happened. If you have experienced a loss or know someone who is struggling with it and feels lost, give them the contact to CIK, our experts will help you find your way.
You can call us, write or come in person….

You are welcome!
