The 3rd Day of Social Work Students at the Catholic University of America is an all-university scientific and educational event, aimed at students, lecturers, practitioners and all those interested in the subject of social work. The purpose of the meeting was to integrate the social work community, exchange experiences and reflect on current challenges facing the profession. The organizer and moderator of the event was Dr. Agnieszka Zaborowska of the Department of Human Rights and Social Work at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
Two employees of the Crisis Intervention Center in Lublin participated in the event. One of the speakers was an intervention psychologist, Ms. Urszula Kafara, who took part in a panel discussion entitled “Meetings with practitioners – Social work in action.” During her speech, Ms. Kafara shared her rich professional experience, presenting the specifics of intervention work and the role of psychological support in crisis situations.
Participation in the event was an excellent opportunity to present the activities of our institution, promote good practices and deepen cooperation between academia and institutions supporting people in crisis.
