“A nice little thing.

October 14 2024

“I see that my friend is experiencing hate speech, is there anything I can do?”
Be beside the point. A hero is not always the one who fights the enemy and defeats him in a spectacular way. You can simply do a small, good thing. How do you accomplish this?
Speak/write to the person affected by hate speech a supportive sentence. It really matters, it could prove to be crucial. Your supportive sentence can save someone’s life.
“I’m by your side, no matter what they say.”
“I’m on your side.”
“I don’t think so, as he/she/they said.”
“I think you’re great.”
“Why don’t we look for help together?”
Whether you are the person experiencing the hate speech, their parent, caregiver, teacher, friend, or simply an acquaintance in the community – if you feel your voice has not been heard – call/come to us. Crisis Intervention Center in Lublin will cover you and your loved ones with help and support, we will comprehensively address the problem of hate speech together with a psychologist and lawyer.
