Support group for people with oncology diseases

A group of people sitting in a circle. Only the torso of the people is visible. Some people gesture with their hands. One person is holding a piece of paper.

Through this group, you can get emotional support and psycho-oncological counseling.

If you or a loved one is struggling with cancer, it is worth considering getting help. One way to do this is through a support group at CIK.

Through group classes, you can get emotional support and learn the stories of others who are also struggling with cancer and look at your own problems from a certain distance, and thus see more.

Group meetings are also held in the form of Simonton therapy workshops.

Free group meetings for people experiencing serious illness (including oncology) and needing support, as well as their loved ones.

What does Simonton therapy consist of?
The main goal of Simonton therapy is, first and foremost, to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and get rid of the feeling of pervasive hopelessness. These activities, in turn, are supposed to contribute to better recovery. To achieve this goal, the Simonton program uses elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, working with one’s own beliefs and emotions, relaxation exercises, visualizations, mindfulness training or conversations with inner wisdom, among others.
Simonton therapy supports the healing process for people suffering from chronic somatic diseases.
The workshop is great for illnesses with an unpredictable course, including life-threatening ones.
Simonton therapy is a form of assistance for patients and their loved ones to reduce the stress and suffering associated with illness.

Purpose of Simonton therapy workshops:

  • using the body’s potential to enhance the healing process,
  • building a circle of support,
  • improving quality of life,
  • coping with stress,
  • getting rid of the sense of pervasive hopelessness,
  • dealing with pain.
