What can you expect when applying for help at CIK in Lublin?

When you call CIK to arrange a consultation with a psychologist, you will first talk to a first contact employee. These are experienced employees, well prepared to help people experiencing crises:

  • The first contact employee will ask why you are looking for help and what support you expect. A thorough understanding of your situation will allow us to select the most appropriate form of assistance. Talking about your problems is often not easy, you may feel embarrassed – this is natural. It is worth answering the questions of the first contact employee precisely, if possible, because this will enable us to provide you with professional help and make an appointment with an appropriate specialist.
  • If you are not a resident of Lublin, the first contact employee will inform you about the forms of help available in your place of residence and about centers specializing in helping people experiencing violence, which do not have any regionalization.

First visit

You may feel fear and uncertainty, but above all you have the right to be proud… The first step towards improving your situation is already behind you!

  • During the first conversation, the psychologist will give you space to talk about your situation, and may also ask about various areas of functioning (including somatic health, previous use of psychological and psychiatric help, support network, professional situation). You will receive information on further cooperation, and if necessary, you will set up a Blue Card together and set a date for consultation with a lawyer.
  • Except when you may endanger your life or someone else’s, we are bound by professional secrecy.
  • If you want to remain anonymous and need support, call:
