“We are creating a telephone meeting place where seniors and senior citizens can call in and talk about everyday life with volunteers. In this way, we provide them with company and counteract loneliness among senior citizens. The volunteers at the Bliskolink are young people who are willing to give up their free time to provide seniors with company, in the friendly atmosphere of a telephone call. They are prepared for the calls and know how to conduct them to ensure the safety and comfort of the older person calling.” (https://expressbydgoski.pl/ruszyla…/ar/c1-18816199 access 06.06.2025)

“TelefonPogadania.pl is a project aimed at lonely, sad, abandoned people in need of a warm and encouraging conversation. This group, in our opinion, is at risk of the greatest isolation and exclusion. But we don’t want to put up any artificial boundaries: neither depression nor feelings of loneliness know them. If you are not a senior citizen and want to talk to someone or share your happiness with us, don’t worry, we will take your call too. If you are a minor, you will be redirected to the number of one of our cooperating organisations providing similar services for children and young people.
What kinds of issues can you call about?
With ordinary, everyday problems and thoughts. We want our telephone to be a means of communication for people who do not have one every day. To talk about everything and nothing. We believe that even one conversation a day with another person significantly alleviates the effects of feelings of isolation, loneliness and sadness.” (https://telefonpogadania.pl/ access 06.06.2025)
