“A Good House.”
Have you seen it? What do you think? What impression did it leave on you?
There has been a lot of talk about the film lately. Many people want to see it and are flocking to cinemas. Regardless of whether you rate “A Good Place” positively or not, we, as specialists, are pleased that such an important topic is appearing in the public sphere. Thanks to this, it is possible to reflect on it and draw attention to aspects that may not be noticeable to us on a daily basis or that escape us in the rush of everyday life.
The reality is that violence EXISTS. Every day, in many homes, someone uses it and someone else experiences it.
Maybe you know or suspect that this is happening to your neighbors…
maybe to someone in your family…
or maybe it’s your home…
The causes of violence vary, and every home and relationship is different. They have one thing in common – violence must be stopped and a series of actions taken to bring about change – and for change to be most effective socially, work is needed in both areas – both for the person experiencing violence and the person perpetrating it.
For many years, CIK has been effectively involved in counteracting violence by providing individual and group support to people experiencing violence, but also by educating perpetrators of violence. We are currently implementing the second edition of this year’s correctional and educational program for perpetrators of domestic violence.
